How to apply for postgraduate courses

Follow our step-by-step instructions to apply directly to Federation as a domestic student. It doesn't take long and you can do it all online.

You generally need to have a higher ed qualification to get into a postgrad course. Only got work/life experience? Check your specific course entry requirements to find out if you can apply. If your course is offered through Federation Online, apply via the Federation Online webpage, otherwise, follow the steps below.

How to apply directly to Federation

Make sure you have your personal details and education history (qualification titles, institutions and dates) ready before you start your application.

Follow the 7-step process on our application website. It should only take about 15 minutes. You’ll need to register with your email address (and – sorry – make up a new password).

If you’re only applying for a postgraduate short course, include the name of the course you’d like to do in the personal statement section and don’t worry about uploading any supporting documents.

If you’re applying for any of these courses, we hope you love forms because there are some special ones to submit. Do this straight after you apply.
