Reconciliation matters
We are deeply committed to genuine and substantive reconciliation, to the Uluru Statement from the Heart and to Voice, Treaty, and Truth.
Acknowledgement of Country
Federation University Australia acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which our campuses, centres and field stations are located, and we pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. Federation University Australia also acknowledges the continuing and unceded sovereignty of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nations.
Professor Andrew Gunstone
Professor Andrew Gunstone joined Federation in 2022 as the inaugural Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor Reconciliation. He’s responsible for all reconciliation matters, including the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). He established the National Centre for Reconciliation, Truth, and Justice in February 2023.
The Centre explores the way we understand and engage with reconciliation across industry, academic and community settings.
The Journal is a leading international publication on Australian Indigenous matters and was established in 1998 by Professor Andrew Gunstone.
Endorsing the Uluru Statement from the Heart is a critical step in Federation’s reconciliation progress.
Federation University’s Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs) outline the actions, timelines and targets that will help us achieve our reconciliation goal.
