From TAFE to undergraduate

If you don't meet undergraduate entry requirements, start with a TAFE course and gain the skills you need to transition to your dream degree.

First stop, TAFE

If you don’t meet the entry requirements for your dream course, use a TAFE qualification as a stepping-stone. You’ll get the skills you need to transition easily into a related higher education course. There are so many pathway options, and lots of our certificate or diploma courses give you credit towards a relevant degree.

Work your way up from a Certificate II.
End up with two complete qualifications.

Pathway ideas

Not ready for TAFE yet?

Get on the tools

Enrol in a pre-apprenticeship to learn basic practical skills in building and construction, electrotechnology or engineering studies. And if you complete the course you'll get credit towards your apprenticeship (which means a possible reduction of up to six months).

Go back to school

You can do VCE Vocational Major, VETDSS or a Certificate II in General Education for Adults at Federation College. Prepare for further study in a non-traditional learning environment, with easy access to literacy and numeracy support.

Having a pathway course has allowed me to gain a better grasp and understanding. "
