ATSGC1369 Understanding University Learning
This unit develops students¿ understanding of the expectations, culture and values of higher education and the student capabilities associated with successful participation in university learning. With a sharp focus on reading, research and critical thinking, students gain an understanding of the skills, attitudes and behaviours that underpin success in higher education. Through critical reading and engagement with academic research, students learn to evaluate and synthesise evidence, and apply academic integrity and ethical use of academic sources. Students critically examine university learning practices through their own participation in higher education, developing metacognitive awareness of the strategies, behaviours and dispositions that support academic success.
