BUMGT2104 Business strategy
This unit provides undergraduate students with a systematic and applied understanding of business strategy in contemporary, fast-changing environments. Positioned as a mid-course core unit, it builds on foundational management and marketing knowledge and prepares students for advanced study and professional practice. Students examine how organisations analyse their external environment and internal capabilities, formulate competitive and corporate strategies, and translate strategic choices into coherent business models and executable plans. Particular attention is given to strategic decision-making under uncertainty, dynamic competition, and the implications of digitalisation and artificial intelligence for competitive advantage, organizational boundaries, and value creation.
