ENGRG1005 Engineering design 2
This unit introduces the fundamental engineering design process and equips students with essential professional skills through a step-by-step approach to solving real-world engineering problems. Students will develop an understanding of key principles in mathematics, physics, and engineering sciences, as well as competence in the technical tools and techniques required to successfully complete an engineering project. Through collaboration with peers in planning, managing, and delivering an engineering project, students will also build broad professional skills in communication, project management, technical documentation, and oral presentation¿capabilities that are highly valued by industry. Attendance is required to complete laboratory-based activities in this unit. Online students enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering must attend compulsory block-mode laboratory sessions at the Mt Helen campus. These sessions provide students with the opportunity to complete practical work, build engineering skills, and complete invigilated assessments.
