SCCOR1300 Scientific Practice
Scientific Practice provides students with the opportunity to develop the mathematical and statistical knowledge and skills required to analyse, interpret, and communicate scientific data. Through a range of authentic scientific contexts, students will build confidence in selecting and applying appropriate mathematical and statistical approaches to investigate scientific questions, evaluate evidence, and draw informed conclusions. By the end of the unit, students will be able to apply mathematical and statistical concepts and principles relevant to science, including scientific data analysis, equations, linear relationships, logarithmic and exponential functions, rates of change, statistical methods, distributions and uncertainty, scientific investigations, and parametric testing. Attendance may be required to complete assessment tasks and learning activities.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
