Wages and contracts

An apprentice/trainee is generally covered by the same employment conditions as other employees. However, they're also subject to the conditions of a training contract.

A training contract is an agreement that an employer and an apprentice/trainee sign, detailing the on-the-job training the employer will provide. It also confirms any off-the-job training (delivered by a registered training organisation).
