Regional Skills Networks

Regional Skills Networks comprise Industry Advisory Groups that meet regularly to offer advice about industry trends and the skills students will need to gain employment.

You can’t co-op without getting together for the occasional chat. This is where Regional Skills Networks comes in. It’s the umbrella that all the Industry Advisory Groups sit under.

So – what are the Industry Advisory Groups? Good question. These align with specific sectors – like manufacturing and health – and help connect education and industry. Each group is made up of 10–20 organisations that meet twice a year to provide vital subject matter expertise and advice.

We're trying to achieve:

  • better regional education and employment outcomes
  • stonger research partnerships
  • greater opportunity for students to learn the skills that industries need.
