My name is Sarah Little and I am studying the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the Gippsland campus. I chose Federation University due to its close proximity to home, the fantastic new allied health facilities and the smaller class sizes. Personally, this appeals to me as it provides an opportunity for more one-on-one learning with my lectures and the sense of connection between the students and lecturers makes for a safe and fun learning environment in which students can be actively involved in their own learning. The collaborative learning environment exhibited through group assignments enables students to get to know their peers and a much deeper level. The university provides many opportunities for students on multiple disciplines to collaboratively work together in an environment that stimulates the workforce. I would recommend Federation University due to the strong sense of community between staff and students and the opportunity for fantastic local placements.
